Swirly Pocket Watch

Interactive pocket watch asset with audio and visual effects meant to assist/enhance the hypnotic induction process in VRChat. An optimized version is included for those wanting it only for their avatar's aesthetic/find the effects to be too overwhelming.

Subject Focus

IsSubject is not included with the pocket watch unity package, it must be installed first to use Subject Focus effects.

IsSubject V2 (FREE)

With IsSubject installed alongside the pocket watch, a separate set of Focus controls will be available. All Focus controls will have green text in the menu. The audio-visual effects marked as Focus controls are only visible to the local player (if chosen) and any players selected with the IsSubject system.

Visual Effects

Spiral Overlay

Spiral primary controls the hue of the swirling pattern, 100% turning it off
Spiral secondary controls the hue of the concentric circle pattern, 100% turning it off

Focus/Subject View Centering

When Focus is toggled the vision of IsSubject players will become blurry and be tinted a dark blue the longer they look at the pocket watch. When the player looks away the effect will slowly fade away, turning the pocket watch off will clear and reset the effect. Subject View Centering is only active alongside Focus and when the subject player has stared at the watch for long enough, it will then drag their vision towards the watch as it moves disorienting the subject further.

The audio is louder for the sake of a demo.

SFX

The IsSubject version of the watch includes a clock second-hand ticking, and 4 Shepard-Risset Tones using samples from violin, piano, pure sine, and binaural tracks.

The audio tracks are included to enhance a session by giving more stimulus for the subject to either focus on or allow to fade into the background, which you, as the hypnotist have control over. When a player is selected as your subject and the Focus effect is toggled on the tones will climb in intensity for a little over a minute before settling as background noise. Each is a Shepard-Risset tone, an auditory illusion of perpetually falling pitch (Or an auditory barber pole). This is meant to further suggest to your subject the feeling of "downness" or being lowered "deeper" into their trance while they focus on the watch.
